The Menchok blesses medicines, food, water, and healing materials so they carry lineage blessing and the power of the Medicine Buddha. "Men" means medicine; the practice invokes Sangye Menla (Medicine Buddha), whose deep blue form and healing mantra are central to Tibetan healing culture.
Recitation, offerings, and visualization transmit healing intention into substances used by the sponsor.
Families request Menchok for illness, long-term remedies, purifying water or food, or regular protective practice for a household. It can also be directed toward someone absent, with their name and situation held throughout.
Purpose: Medicine blessing, healing support, protection.
Duration: Several hours.
